Rideshare Depot Vehicle Guide

Effective: July, 2025

Thank you for renting with Rideshare Depot! This Vehicle Guide outlines how to properly charge or fuel your rental vehicle to ensure safe operation, avoid damage, and comply with our Rental Agreement. Failure to follow these guidelines may result in additional fees or liability for damages.

Electric Vehicles (EVs)

For Tesla models (e.g., Model 3, Model Y):

– Approved Chargers: Use only Tesla Superchargers or approved non-Tesla chargers (e.g., Electrify America stations compatible with Tesla adapters). Locate Tesla Superchargers at tesla.com/find us or via the vehicle’s navigation system.

– Charging Guidelines:

  – Charge to 80–100% capacity daily to ensure sufficient range for rideshare activities.

  – Avoid letting the battery drop below 20% to prevent degradation.

  – Do not use unapproved chargers (e.g., home outlets or non-compatible stations), as they may damage the battery.

– Return Policy: Return the vehicle with 80–100% battery capacity. If below 80%, a $1/kWh re-charging fee applies to restore to 80% (Rental Agreement, 3.1.9). Actual charging costs (e.g., Supercharger fees) are itemized weekly.

– Battery Care: Follow Tesla’s guidelines (e.g., avoid extreme temperatures, park in shade) to maintain battery health, as outlined in the vehicle’s manual.

Gasoline Vehicles

For gas-powered vehicles (e.g., Hyundai Elantra, Toyota Corolla):

– Approved Fuel: Use 87 octane unleaded gasoline unless otherwise specified in the vehicle’s manual or door label.

– Fueling Guidelines:

  – Refuel at reputable gas stations to avoid contaminated fuel.

  – Keep the tank at least half full to ensure uninterrupted rideshare use.

– Return Policy: Return the vehicle with a full tank. If not full, a $6/gallon re-fueling fee applies (Rental Agreement, 3.1.8).

– Maintenance: Notify Rideshare Depot immediately of any fuel-related issues (e.g., warning lights) at support@ridesharedepot.com or (864) 982-8565.

General Guidelines

– Vehicle Care: Do not smoke, eat, or transport pets in the vehicle to avoid a $150 cleaning fee (Rental Agreement, 3.1.7).

– Damage Reporting: Report any damage or mechanical issues immediately to avoid liability (Rental Agreement, 5.5).

– Rideshare Use: Use the vehicle only for approved rideshare activities (e.g., Uber, Lyft) unless prior written consent is obtained (Rental Agreement, 5.7).
