Vehicle Rental Terms
Rideshare Depot provides vehicle rentals (e.g., Tesla models, gas-powered vehicles) for rideshare drivers, subject to our Rental Agreement, available at booking or upon request. Key terms include:
- Rental Fee: Weekly base fee varies by vehicle, plus 6% South Carolina sales tax, deducted via Uber earnings or alternative payment, as specified in the Rental Agreement.
- Deposit: Refundable, equal to one day’s rental (weekly fee divided by 7, plus 6% sales tax), due at booking. Refunded within 7 days of vehicle return, minus any fees/damages.
- Mileage: 2,100 miles/week included; $0.35/mile for overages.
- Charging/Re-fueling: Electric vehicles require 80–100% battery capacity at return ($1/kWh penalty if below 80%, separate from Tesla Supercharger costs). Gasoline vehicles require a full tank ($6/gallon if not full).
- Add-Ons: Additional add-ons (if selected) incur extra fees, plus 6% sales tax, specified at booking.
- Insurance: Renters must maintain rideshare-compliant insurance per South Carolina law (SC Code § 58-23-1690). Rideshare Depot provides liability ($100,000/$300,000) and collision coverage ($500 deductible).
- Vehicle Care: Follow the Vehicle Guide (provided at pickup) for approved chargers (e.g., Tesla Superchargers) or fuel types to avoid fees or damage.
- Termination: Early termination requires 24 hours’ notice with prorated fees based on the daily rate.
